Awega SCI (Sustainable Communities Initiative) is a Technology platform which forms the backbone of all our investment and trading operations. Thus, it’s through the Awega SCI platform that we administer the delivery of African Farm products globally. The platform fulfils and complies with regulatory requirements and presents synergy with other initiatives including ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance protocols) Climate change mitigation and the UNs 17 SDGs. This is because the Awega platform can provide all the required project data, reports, assessments, and evaluations for purposes of investment, planning, and community development. Because the Awega SCI offers an ecosystem that manage trade and investment, our Global markets, and partners have embraced the initiative as a model that presents a one stop solution for growing commerce and industry.
Our delivery partners
Rafaiga farm produce and export company is our delivery partner whose role is to manage the upstream as well as the downstream ecosystem of our supply chain and works with our suppliers and farmers to enable the availability and delivery of products such as coffee, tea, fruits, vegetables, and herbs as well as free range and organically reared livestock (Steers, goats, sheep, chicken, seafood and fish) in Kenya. We organize, train, and facilitate small scale farmers in groups to produce and add value to the various farm produce that we export. This farming model enable us to implement sustainable commercial farming while adhering to acceptable international farming standards and practices. By implementing the Awega SCI, we economically empower local farming communities by raising their standard of living as we provide a ready market for their outputs.
Our team consist of various professionals operating in the agricultural and food sector such as agronomist, veterinarians, quality and control officers and farm field officers who collectively oversee our supply chain, enabling us to produce quality farm produce and livestock. We have also partnered with food labs, pack houses and shipping companies who facilitate our value addition and export processes including quality assurance, quality packaging, handling, and transportation of our products to our clients’ destination. our export products meet the needs of our clients due to their superior grades, consistent quality and timely deliveries. We export a wide assortment of products from Kenya to several parts of the world such as the EU, the UAE, and the UK.
